Design Requests & Queue Management

Improve output by keeping your requests and queue organised.

What is the design queue?

This is where all your active, pending and previous design requests are kept in a list sorted by the most recently submitted. Click the blue 'View design queue' button on your dashboard to go there.

If you'd like your requests to be completed quickly then you must make sure you're submitting detailed briefs. Additionally, following our do's and don'ts guide below will provide a smoother experience for yourself and your designer, resulting in faster turnaround times.

Do's:

  • Submit a new design request when you have a new brief. There should only ever be 1 brief per 1 design request.
A set of 5 ads using the same template would be fine to put into 1 design request. However, if you need 20 unique book covers in 2 different styles, it would be better to split that into 2 design requests with 10 book covers in each.

  • Keep comments relevant to the design request you're in.

  • Make it a habit to login to the dashboard daily and view the design queue for updates on your requests.

  • Uphold a strong line of communication with your designer so they can process your requests and any revisions quickly.

Optional Do's:

  • Go into your graphic designer's active request and ask them to prioritise a different request (e.g. if a deadline has been moved forward.)

  • If you are submitting great briefs and are still experiencing lots of open requests in your queue that you'd like to get completed faster, you might need to hire an additional designer.

  • If you have a mix of complex and simple requests, you might need to hire an additional designer to complete the simple requests while your other designer is working on the complex request.

Don’ts:

  • Post a new brief inside an existing design request. Instead, submit a new design request with a title describing the new brief. (Keeping design requests separate and organised is key!)

  • Submit a duplicate of an existing design request to create a sense of urgency. Instead, let your designer know what needs prioritising in their active request.
